Job Title: Locum Tenens Physician Job Specialty: Internal Medicine - Cardiology Job Duration: 52 weeks Shift: 8 hours Guaranteed Hours: 8 per shift Experience: Not specified License: Board Certified Certifications: ACLS required Must-Have: - Specialty Skills in Internal Medicine - Cardiology- Echocardiography- Board Certification Job Description: - Provide full-time locum coverage in the Ambulatory Clinic.- Collaborate with another locum provider to work in a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off schedule for continuous full-time coverage.- Monday-Friday clinic schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM with weekend call coverage from 7 AM to 7 AM.- Manage a schedule of 12 patients per day in the clinic.- For providers performing echo reads: schedule 5 patients per day; exclusively echo reads involve 25 echos per day.- Same-day reads required for inpatient, with outpatient reads due within 48 hours.- Maximum of 12 readings over weekends, with the possibility of remote reading coverage.- Conduct patient encounters ranging from 9-12 per shift.- Utilize a lodging accommodation located conveniently near the hospital.- Work in a department with 29 beds, focusing on both outpatient and inpatient cardiology.- Required skills include ICU, Non-invasive, and Echocardiography; TEE and Nuclear Cardiology preferred.- Traumas are managed at a level 2 facility.- Pediatric cases are not involved, given the PEDs level is 0.- The role does not require skills in invasive or interventional cardiology procedures such as STEMI management, cardiac catheterization, or electrophysiology interventions.
