Job Description

Responsibilities:
  1. Apply Mechanical Engineering Knowledge & General Engineering Principles in design & engineering of Solids Control, Waste Management and Disposal products.
  2. Carry out Engineering Design, Analysis, Testing & Validation as required.
  3. Identify Engineering Problems and then analyze and offer solutions.
  4. Identify and assess compliance with / application of relevant Industry Standards & Certification.
  5. Manage / Progress Engineering projects and other duties as allocated by the line Manager.
  6. Provide support to Engineering, Manufacturing, & Sales globally as required.
  7. Work in a methodical, structured and safe manner within guidelines as set by NOV values/ethics.
  8. Assist with larger projects working as part of a team.
  9. Liaise with clients and suppliers as required - good communications are essential.
  10. Ensure that Health and Safety is priority.
  11. Keep abreast of engineering developments, trends, equipment and processes and advise Line Manager if these could be applied to improve current work practices, equipment, products etc.
  12. Be respectful of others internally and externally.
  13. Work towards the vision and strategy of Engineering group.
  14. Produce, check and approve engineering documentation.
  15. Responsible for delivery on time to agreed delivery dates.
  16. Ensure client comments are reviewed and responded to in a timely manner.
  17. Ensure that any design changes which may have a cost or schedule impact are communicated to the relevant personnel.
  18. Ensure customer care is at the foremost position.
  19. Responsible for self-workload in order to plan and schedule ensuring all deadlines are achieved.
  20. Domestic and global travel as and when required.
  21. Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager.

Qualifications:
  • Degree Level or similar in Mechanical or related Engineering - Essential
  • Tertiary education Mechanical or related Engineering - Desirable
Skills, training or special knowledge
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Access, Project, Outlook, AutoCAD, SolidWorks or other 3D package, FEA package)
  • Solids control and waste management equipment
  • Knowledge of industry standards
