Responsibilities Provide transportation support services to military, government civilian and contractor personnel assigned to military units, garrison, and tenant activities within the geographic area of responsibility. Serve as subject matter expert on transportation and traffic management issues, policies, procedures, and related issues. Participate in conferences with personnel from higher headquarters to ensure effective management and administration of division activities. Inspect activities for compliance with policy, regulatory and program requirements; recommend, initiate, or direct corrective actions. Provide guidance to appointed Commercial Travel Office (CTO) and Direct Procurement Method (DPM) Contracting Officer’s Representative and Alternate Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR/ACOR). Perform long-range planning for accomplishing the transportation mission of the installation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Financial Management Oral Communication Program Management Transportation Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Situational telework is approved on a case-by-case basis, where the hours worked were not part of a previously approved, ongoing, and regular telework schedule. Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 13 months. Term appointments may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years.
