About the Position: The incumbent will be assigned to the 404th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Transportation Division, at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Responsibilities Provide transportation support services to military, government civilian and contractor personnel assigned to military units, garrison, and tenant activities within the geographic area of responsibility. Serve as subject matter expert on transportation and traffic management issues, policies, procedures, and related issues. Participate in conferences with personnel from higher headquarters to ensure effective management and administration of division activities. Inspect activities for compliance with policy, regulatory and program requirements; recommend, initiate, or direct corrective actions. Provide guidance to appointed Commercial Travel Office (CTO) and Direct Procurement Method (DPM) Contracting Officer’s Representative and Alternate Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR/ACOR). Perform long-range planning for accomplishing the transportation mission of the installation. Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 13 months. Term appointments may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years.
