Sales Analyst

- Prepare, analyze, and validate various existing reports, dashboards and logs (variance analysis). Create new reports as needed.
- Create and document detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for IPS Sales Dept. Communicate the results.
- Assist with dept. budgeting and forecasting.
- Planning and monitoring. Strategizing ideas to improve business operations. Identify specific business opportunities.
- Define the business requirements and report them back to the IPS leadership.
- Heavily involved with the S&OP Process and help facilitate required information for this process.
- Produce and analyze data, statistics and various reports related to the capital equipment market (financial, customer service, operations, transport, market trends, etc.)
- Review capital sales profitability and margins on sales revenue. Maintain cost efficiency. Review labor hours on equipment sales.
- Monitor and analyze department KPIs and quality data metrics.
- Assist with project management for selected projects when necessary
- Coordinate with different departmental teams including manufacturing, finance, parts, inventory control, production, and pricing to produce better business outcomes.
- Maintain customer database including shipping addresses, territories and contact name.
- Test business processes and recommend improvements.
- Assist with the creation of standard operating procedures (SOP) for the dept. Ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies. Implement procedures.
- Must be able to communicate clearly, politely, and professionally via phone, email and face-to-face with Customers, Suppliers, Carriers and the various departments including Parts, Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Manufacturing, Parts Warehouse, Shipping and Management.
- May be asked to attend trade shows, conferences, customer schools and visit accounts to increase customer satisfaction and build brand loyalty (could involve multiple day travel domestically).
- Develop and apply Customer Service standards, policies and procedures for the Department.
- Follow company policies and procedures at all times.
- Follow proper safety rules and regulations at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
- Graduate degree preferred
- A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in business analysis or related field preferred
- Must be able to speak and write proficiently in English
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities
- Detail-oriented and being capable of delivering a high level of accuracy
- Prefer some knowledge of asphalt equipment
- Strong computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Windows required.
- Good communication skills, ability to handle and resolve customer complaints required
- Ability to travel.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time under pressure required.
- Prefer five to ten years of experience in sales
- Experience working in multiple tasks environment required.
- Must be able to work satisfactorily as a team member. Interpersonal skills required.
- Must be able to meet regular attendance requirements.
- Good organizational skills required.
- Experience and knowledge of E-Commerce preferred
