Nurse Practitioner Job Specifics:
* Position will manage and treat patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary hypertension (PH) and other conditions of the lung.

Requirements:
* Education & Training: Master of Science degree with completion of an approved nurse practitioner or physician assistant program.
* National certification in the area specialty and licensed by the Maryland Board of Nursing. NPI number, DEA and CDS required.
Skills & Abilities: Demonstrate skills to: a) handle multiple priorities; b) work independently and take initiative in achieving goals; c) maintain confidentiality with patient and team member information; d) strong clinical practice and judgment; e) effective decision-making; f) problem-solving; g) crisis management; h) organizing work and attention to detail and follow through. Ability to demonstrate highly effective verbal communication skills required to interact with patients, family members, departmental units, medical and nursing staff, team members at all essential matters; demonstrated / documented effective interpersonal skills. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to his or her population specific and age specific needs.
