Who we’re looking for Toyota Financial Services (TFS) Technology team is looking for a highly motivated person to fill a role as a Lead Network Security Engineer. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of network security measures to protect our organization's infrastructure from cyber threats. This role requires strong technical expertise in network security, excellent written communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams This role is located in our Plano, TX headquarters and is hybrid in nature, with a mix of in office days and some days working remotely; this could change in the future based on business needs. Candidates are expected to live within a commutable distance to Plano, TX. What you’ll be doing Develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Lead the design, review, and implementation of network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS), virtual private networks (VPNs), and access control mechanisms. Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential security risks and vulnerabilities. Collaborate with other teams to integrate security controls into network architecture and infrastructure design. Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and industry trends related to network security. Participate in incident response and forensic investigations as needed. Develop and maintain documentation related to network security architecture, configurations, and processes. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure the effectiveness of network security measures. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Extensive experience in network security, with a focus on designing and implementing and/or reviewing security controls in enterprise environments. Strong understanding of networking protocols, architecture, and infrastructure components. Proficiency in using and monitoring network security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, IDPS, VPNs, and SIEM solutions. Certifications such as CISSP, CCSK, CCNP Security, CEH, or similar are highly desirable. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex network security issues and recommend effective solutions. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with cloud security, containerization, and microservices architecture is a plus. Added bonus if you have Experience with developing and implementing cyber security policies. Risk management experience in a regulated environment. Knowledge of cyber security regulations and laws. Vulnerability assessments or penetration testing experience.
