JOB SUMMARY

Senior Systems Analyst – Incident Management – Bethesda, MD

DUTIES :

  • Lead the coordination for resolving application(s) incidents as a technical expert.

  • Perform research, analysis, and facilitate incident resolution.

  • Accountable for restoring normal service operation as quickly as possible and to minimize the impact on business operations for application-related incidents, thus ensuring that the best possible levels of service quality and availability are maintained.

  • Partner closely with Applications team and the broader Application Production Support team to quickly resolve and prevent incidents.

  • Drive incident resolution

  • Act as the application(s) lead for all incident bridge calls to evaluate event, maintain timeline and ensure that service is restored as quickly as possible.

  • Act as decision owner of when to shift demand and/or take redundant capacity offline or bring it back online.

  • Determine need for new Incident or association with Known Error or other existing Incident and ensure they are added to existing Incident or new ticket is created.

  • Partner with Monitoring Team to ensure that application monitoring is present, current and that metrics meet need to proactive response to anticipated degradation/outage.

  • Own the Known Error Database and ensures all application Incident playbooks are documented and updated appropriately.

  • Ensure that Known Error playbooks are followed during Incident calls.

  • Define/publish appropriate application incident metrics.

  • Other duties as assigned within area of responsibility.

REQUIREMENTS: bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field followed by seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in information technology application development and/or support.

Experience must include:

  • 5 years in a technical discipline role with experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating processes, systems and/or initiatives.

  • 5 years of experience in software development using multiple programming languages and methodologies

  • 5 years of experience applying measurement processes/methods for assessing program outputs and outcomes or progress towards goals and objectives.

100% remote; position may be performed from anywhere within the U.S and Up to 5% domestic travel.

California Applicants Only : The salary range for this position is $143,458 to $209,169.00 annually.

Colorado Applicants Only : The salary range for this position is$143,458 to $190,154.00 annually.

Hawaii Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is$143,458 to $209,169.00 annually.

New York Applicants Only : The salary range for this position is $143,458 to $209,169.00 annually.

Washington Applicants Only : The salary range for this position is $143,458 to $209,169.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus. Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
