Ability to listen with compassion, empathy, and nonjudgement. Secure and deploy resources effectively and efficiently and gain the confidence and trust of fellow advocates and survivors through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.Provide ongoing case management, such as coordinating with campus partners or community resources, assistance with Crime Victims Compensation, police interview accompaniment, providing psychoeducation, and brief crisis and emotional support. Must have the capacity to engage with complex clients, skills in active listening, de-escalation, risk assessment, able to build constructive relationships, advocate for change effectively, and document services.Assists Victim Services Unit Supervisor with record keeping, data collection, and administrative duties. Ensures call program is routed daily to ensure VAN operation is maintained. Attends and assists with presentations and VAN promotion at training events, campus meetings, and events as needed. Drive University vehicles. Maintain acceptable driver rating as established in Policy: UTS157 Section 2.5.4. Conducts clinical supervision of Social Work interns in coordination with their Social Work Practicum placement. (If you have had masters degree in social work for more than 2 years.)Other related duties as assignedMarginal and Incidental FunctionsPerform other related functions as assigned. Work is performed in accordance with normal trade practices and is inspected for conformity to standards, quality and quantity by journey-level employees or supervisor. Required to carry University cell phone.
