SUMMARY

Responsible for the warehouse supervisory function relating to the planning, storage, control, and distribution of materials and product to meet company objectives and customer requirements in a high-volume multi-site environment This involves the responsibility of directing and administering shipping, receiving, inventory control by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Plans, organizes, coordinates and manages personnel and activities to ensure effective and efficient processing, shipping, storage, and issuance of materials while continuously striving for improvement in all materials processes.
  • Maintains all inventories, components, finished goods to ensure accuracy of the inventory.
  • Supervises physical inventory in multiple warehouses.
  • Responsible for the logistics of transporting materials from various facilities and suppliers
  • Responsible for the motivation and development of subordinates, their performance, and their personal and professional growth.
  • Assures that established policy, rules, regulations and procedures are followed.
  • Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees and safety.
  • Responsible for maintaining a quality work environment including good housekeeping (i.e.5S).
  • Interfaces with other divisions and operations to ensure timely and accurate receipt and issuance of all material.
  • Coordinates the timely, accurate, damage-free shipments of all products.
  • Operate a forklift.
  • Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the ATC policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to read and understand English.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Three to Five years' experience in production environment with warehousing experiencing in large warehouses (100,000 sf or larger)
Experience with warehouse organization and optimization
  • Experience in selecting appropriate storage solutions and material handling equipment
  • Experience with production support
  • Experience with internal and external logistics
  • Experience with adherence to DOT requirements

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Certifications in APIC's or Purchasing Management highly desirable.
