The Senior Respiratory Therapist possesses all of the core skills of the JRN level Respiratory Therapist. He/she is expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures. He/she will collaborate with physicians and nurses in planning and implementing the patient plan of care. Completion of the department orientation program as well as unit-specific orientation is mandatory. This individual assists the physician with the the delivery and direction of respiratory therapy.
