Job Summary:
Regency Care of Silver Spring is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the role of Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)/Infection Preventionist. This is a full-time, management position with a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, paid biweekly. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the nursing department and implementing infection prevention protocols to ensure the highest level of care and safety for our residents.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement infection prevention policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Conduct ongoing audits and assessments of infection control practices and provide feedback and training to nursing staff
- Monitor and analyze infection data to identify trends and develop strategies for prevention
- Coordinate with external agencies, such as the Department of Health, to ensure compliance with infection control regulations and guidelines
- Serve as a resource and educator for staff on infection control measures and practices
- Manage and maintain all infection control equipment and supplies
- Assist with the development and oversight of resident care plans
- Support the Director of Nursing in overall management of the nursing department
- Assist with recruitment, hiring, and training of nursing staff
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide input on resident care and safety

Requirements:
- Current and unrestricted RN license in the state of Maryland
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing, with at least 2 years in infection prevention
- Excellent understanding of infection control regulations and best practices
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to long-term care facilities
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
