Position Overview:
The firm is seeking an ambitious and skilled Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a variety of insurance defense cases, including personal injury, property damage, and professional liability claims. You will collaborate closely with senior attorneys, assisting in the development and execution of case strategies while gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in insurance defense cases through all stages of litigation.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
- Conduct detailed legal research and prepare memoranda on complex issues.
- Advocate on behalf of clients at depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop and implement case strategies.
- Negotiate settlements and manage case files with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Provide clear, timely communication to clients, offering legal advice and updates.
- Stay informed on current legal developments and industry trends.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the California Bar.
- 2+ years of experience in insurance defense or a related practice area (preferred).
- Proven litigation skills with experience handling complex cases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
