Functions

Responsible for development of deliverables/CDRLs Changes and Configuration, including Status Report (CSR), Physical Configuration Audit (PCA), Master Equipment List (MEL), Change Management (CM) Plan and Hose Database, as directed by CM supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Because Eastern Shipbuilding is continually growing to meet the needs of our customers, the essential duties and responsibilities may be different than described.

  • Regular attendance at work and the ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Assist in gathering information and data required for Class 1 Changes
  • Assist in development of Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS).
  • Assist in development of Master Equipment List (MEL)
  • Assist in development of Hose Database
  • Assist in development of Configuration Status Report (CSR)
  • Assist with Change Management (CM) Plan
  • Assist with Physical Configuration Audit (PCA)

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Reporting Relationship: This position will report to the Configuration & Change Supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Education/Experience: 2 or more years providing coordinator support in Project Planning, Analytics and Contracts required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Skills: Proficient-level Microsoft Suite experience including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and a working knowledge of various web-based design and collaboration tools.

Behavioral Attributes: Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance. Integrity, flexibility/adaptability, initiative, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and multitasking. Maintain the confidential integrity of details pertaining to Eastern Shipbuilding Group.

Working Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee may be exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the environment is low to moderate, such as in an office environment.

Physical Activity/Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This job will operate in multiple environments, including a professional office environment, and Shipboard during the production, outfit, test, and delivery phases of each Ship. Employees must be able to work in a ship production environment, including climbing, entering tanks and voids, etc., in all weather conditions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
