Our team specializes in developing and supporting cutting-edge analytics solutions for the Optum Payment Integrity Platform. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, test, document, and maintain high-quality and scalable Big Data, Cloud solutions

  • Design and architect data solutions to suit client product needs. Develop and implement analytic solutions

  • Research, evaluate, and deploy new tools, frameworks, and patterns to build sustainable data pipelines

  • Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement on existing solutions

  • Implement large Data warehouse solutions in Cloud

  • Analyze and define customer requirements and build products specific to client needs

  • Work on architecting solutions for analytic platforms while partnering with cross functional teams

  • Make accurate development effort estimates to assist management in project and resource planning

  • Create prototypes, proof-of-concepts. Conduct code reviews and design sessions with developers

  • Write technical documentation and participate in production support

  • Coach and mentor junior engineers

  • Keep skills up to date through ongoing self-directed training

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related Analytical degree

  • 12+ years of IT-related work experience

  • 8+ years of experience in hands-on software development

  • 3+ years of experience in Azure cloud platform

  • 3+ years of experience in development using Python, Spark

  • 3+ years of experience in using tools like Databricks, Snowflake, python, pyspark, AKS

  • 2+ years of experience in MySQL and NoSQL databases

  • 2+ years of experience in tools such as Airflow, CI/CD using Jenkins

  • Experience with containerization and performance tuning in Data Pipelines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solution Architecting experience

  • Python, PySpark, Snowflake & Databricks experience

  • Proven excellent analysis, process, problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Proven ability to change and adapt quickly, mentoring and leading other engineers from a technical capacity

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
