Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Comprehensive Support: Assist physicians and nurse practitioners in various clinic duties, from managing phone calls to providing medication education materials.
  • Efficient Referral Process: Take the lead in managing the referral process, ensuring that patients receive timely and appropriate care.
  • Accurate Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records by entering vital signs and clinical data, ensuring quality charting.
  • Preparedness: Prepare patient charts and information for medical appointments, ensuring that all documentation is thorough and accurate.
  • Coordinated Care: Track and coordinate essential patient data, such as medication assistance, sample medications, and drug utilization evaluations, to enhance the quality of care provided.
  • Empowering Patients: Assist in completing prior authorizations for medications and referrals, ensuring that patients receive necessary treatments without delay.
  • Commitment to Growth: Demonstrate your dedication to professional growth by attending continuing education and training courses to maintain and enhance your certification.
  • Quality Assurance: Play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of care by reviewing all outpatient medication storage and administration locations for monthly pharmacy review requirements.
Salary:
  • $19.00-$20.00 per hour (Based on experience)
Requirements:
  • Certified Medical Assistant/CMA certification through AAMA or CCMA required or Registered Medical Assistant/RMA certification through AMT required
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have valid driver's license
