Skills, and Abilities:

  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the entire software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation. Familiarity with Agile and Iterative Development models is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of leading small to medium-sized projects and adapting to new languages and development methodologies.
  • Effective in collaborating with external contacts, fellow employees, managers, and department staff members.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software or web application development, including proficiency in an object-oriented language.

Preferred Experience:

  • More than 5 years of experience with Gosu, SQL, Java, SOAP or RESTful web services, JavaScript, XML, Git, or similar version control/source code management tools.
  • 1 or more years of experience in the insurance or financial industry.
  • Working towards the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation is desirable.
