Direct Support Professional

Average Pay: $20.70-22.75 per hour (blended between regular and premium pay rates).

About us:

Hills & Dales is a non-profit organization dedicated to building meaningful lives for individuals with disabilities. We are seeking passionate Direct Support Professionals to support children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. We support children and adults with complex medical and behavioral needs.

Full-Time Positions Available:

- Work-Life Balance: Enjoy an average of 203 days off per year with a 3-day work week or 152 days off per year with a 4-day work week. 12-13 hour shifts.

- Premium Pay: Earn 1.5 times the base wage for weekend hours.

- Base Wage Range: $17.75-$19.50 per hour.

- Schedule options include:

- Base wage of $17.75:

  • Sun, Mon, Tues
  • Sun, Mon, Wed

- Base wage of $18.25:

  • Tues, Wed, Thurs,
  • Wed, Fri, Sat,
  • Thurs, Fri, Sat,

Responsibilities:

- Provide personal care, including bathing, toileting, and hygiene support (lifting required with support of lifts).

- Support exercise and mobility.

- Document client progress toward personal goals.

- Communicate and coordinate with teams to support clients effectively.

- Monitor health and wellness.

- Accompany clients to outings and events.

- Support work-skills development.

- Monitor environments for potential hazards and support clients in navigating these.

- Assist clients in expressing their emotions appropriately and support challenging behavior when necessary.

- Follow detailed dietary instructions.

Requirements:

- Ability to be responsible and accountable for the health, safety, and quality of another person's life.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Ability to lift 35 lbs.

- Valid driver's license to drive agency vehicles

- Successful completion of a criminal background check, drug screen, and driving record check.

Benefits:

- 3-day work week with 12-13 hour shifts, providing 203 days off per year.

- PTO and additional pay on agency holidays.

- Weekend premium pay (1.5x base wage). It like getting paid over-time, except you don't have to work over-time.

- Ability to trade-shits with colleagues to get preferred days off

- Ability to work additional hours for extra income
