Job Summary
Collaborates with interdisciplinary team in the delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process; provides professional nursing care to patients, including conducting nursing assessments, assisting with exams and treatment, patient education, and maintenance of medical records. MHHS hires RNs based on years of experience groupings (i.e. newly licensed RN [working under the supervision of RN clinical preceptor], less than 1 year, 1-3 years, 3 to 10 and 10+).Our Cardiac Tele Unit (3 North) consists of 24 private rooms. Provides acute care to medical-surgical adult patients with or without cardiac pathology. All patients are on remote cardiac telemetry. Our nurses are highly skilled in taking care of patient experiencing cardiac dysrhythmias, post AMI, post cardiac catheterization with PTCA/stent, CHF, Pneumonia, Sepsis, and COPD to name a few. Our nurses are proficient at the administration of the following IV drips: lasix, bumex, heparin, amiodarone, cardizem, aggrastat, milrinone, and Dobutrex. Our staff are trained to take care of patients on vapotherm, high flow oxygen, and BiPAP with the assistance of respiratory therapy. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:5 with a free charge nurse and 2-3 nursing techs.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelors of Nursing preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing
- Certified in Basic Life Support
- Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
