JOB PURPOSE:

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager of Community Health Services and the Director of Community Health Services, the Volunteer Coordinator will be working within Endeavors Transition Support Program and will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the volunteer mentors registered through OnwardOPS and serving transitioning service members throughout Texas. The Volunteer Coordinator will conduct outreach at various events to identify potential mentors and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to organize and promote events and learning opportunities for registered mentors. The Volunteer Coordinator will track and report volunteer hours, manage award programs and manage the volunteer database.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Effectively communicate with a wide range of audiences to create and continue collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

* Attend outreach events to identify potential volunteers, market volunteer opportunities and support new volunteers through the application process.

* Conduct volunteer trainings on the time management system.

* Collaborate with internal and external partners to plan, coordinate and provide ongoing learning opportunities for registered mentors and transitioning service members.

* Maintain accurate records and report data weekly to leadership regarding volunteer hours, engagement updates and resources provided to mentors.

* Other duties as assigned.

* Demonstrate Exceptional customer service, in Everything you do, by placing the child, family, Veteran or client first to support our mission to "Empower people to build better lives for themselves, their families, and their communities."

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Experience in areas such as outreach, intake coordination, resource identification and connection. Experience working with Veterans, Service Members and their families.

ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion.

LICENSES: Driver's License with clear record.

VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.

OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates.
