Position Overview:

llume Fertility is looking for a full-time Surgical Technician in our Norwalk office. The Surgical Technician will be responsible for providing support in the procedure room, operating room, and assisting with sterilization processing duties to provide women's health services related to fertility treatment. We are looking for someone who would love to help people achieve their dream of having a baby who is looking to be part of an amazing team

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensures patients are comfortable and safety measures are followed.
  • Prepares the surgery center rooms by ensuring proper supplies, instruments, and equipment are sterile and ready for procedures.
  • Technical skill in the care and use of instruments, supplies and equipment used during a surgical procedure.
  • Performs sterilization technique and cleaning between patients. Using autoclave and clean per protocol.
  • Providing ultrasound guidance under physician’s supervision during transfers.
  • Comforting patients by anticipating anxieties, answering questions, providing support.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certification as Surgical Technologist.
  • Prior experience in an OR/Ambulatory Surgical setting.
  • Experience in women's health (e.g., OB/GYN) is preferred.
  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
  • Infertility/IVF experience is preferred.
  • Phlebotomy skills are preferred.
  • Professionalism and strong customer service skills a must
Immunization:

Staff member must meet immunizations requirements as stated in the Illume Fertility immunization policy.
