Position Purpose  The Art Director can lead the design and visual direction strategy for dynamic Tait experiences, crafting groundbreaking design solutions. By collaborating and guiding a talented team, they will transform project objectives into captivating visuals, ensuring that every detail enhances a memorable guest experience.   The ideal candidate will possess the expertise and creativity necessary to lead and collaborate with others in developing innovative design concepts for Client Brand Experiences. They should be a confident team player, working in tandem with project management and the broader design team to create designs that align with and elevate the guest experience. Additionally, they will play a crucial role in supporting client presentations, articulating the vision and rationale behind design choices.   Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities The positions primary functions and responsibilities.  For roles with levels, identify which responsibilities are expected to be performed from each level.  Describe WHAT must be accomplished, not HOW it is accomplished.  Typically described with active verbs (Develop, Create and implement, Build and maintain, Ensure, Influence).   Essential Responsibilities / Accountabilities
  • Work independently on projects of growing scale with little coaching and support from senior team members
  • Evaluates the project goals and synthesizes into project designs and visuals
  • Conceives and develops visual aesthetic and communicates this to the internal team and client
  • Produces sketches and or uses other imagery or models to direct the visual design development
  • Directs team of concept artists, visualization designers, production designers, graphics and showset professionals, scheduling design deliverables, to create exciting and innovative designs.
  • Reviews contract deliverables with Project management and other Senior Art Directors and develops schedule and strategy for delivery

Minimum Qualifications To perform the essential responsibilities, individuals must have the following level of education and experience, or equivalent combination. Additionally, the following certifications, knowledge, skills, or physical requirements are necessary for the position.  Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Visual Art, Fine Art, or a related field.
  • 7-10 Years in Brand market experience
  • Significant experience in spatial design such as architecture, landscape architecture, or interiors or other relevant field and understanding of the use of space and how to successfully move people through experiences.
  • With a base knowledge of brand activation techniques and trends in the market (relevant knowledge to market), has a strong architectural sense and understanding of the use of space and how to successfully move people through experiences.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of inclusive, respectful design for a wide variety of guests/end users, grasps ADA and building code and how it applies to design.
  • Strength in understanding the overall process of design concept ideation and development
  • Ability to read and critique concept architectural design drawings.
  • Ability to strategize and solve complex design problems.
  • Strong Presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Ability to multi-task as well as focus when needed.
  • Can work digital design mediums and direct team members through remote virtual methods.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and interface with different departments.
  • Understanding of current popular software and workflow such as SketchUp, Blendr, Revit, 3DS Max, Rhino, Lumion, Unreal, Unity and Enscape. Ability to use Revit or Rhino a plus.
