Surgical Technologist, Main OR, Days

Job Summary
We are seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Main OR to work days. The position is full time with call required. Candidates must be CST and BLS certified and have at least 1 year of experience. Hospital experience is preferred. This role is located at Memorial Hermann Memorial City.
Job Description
- Function as a scrub assistant to the physician during operative and/or invasive procedures.
- Provide expert perioperative patient care using equipment and instrumentation.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to the patient served and the principles of growth and development.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program.
- Licenses/Certifications: CST and BLS certification.
- Experience: 1+ year of experience preferred.
Principal Accountabilities
- Support unit goals and facilitate unit operations by serving as a resource specialist for an assigned operating room area/specialty service.
- Verify functioning and availability of supplies/instruments/equipment prior to surgical procedures.
- Promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, and serving as a mentor to less experienced staff.
- Demonstrate commitment to providing compassionate and personalized experiences to patients and colleagues.
