Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Laredo logistics operations and border crossing procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and report on SEMP Part operations.
  • Gather Direct-Shipment (DS) and HUB Appointments (APPT) information for Laredo departing trailers/containers.
  • Track and oversee direct ship and Hub operations from the Laredo Transload facility. Confirm on-time departures from Laredo warehouses (W/H).
  • Control and coordinate Laredo departure schedules.
  • Track Over-The-Road (OTR) and rail container movements.
  • Monitor border crossing statuses and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Respond effectively to Immediate Response Required situations.
  • Validate IOD & POD and manage associated processes in daily operations.
  • Focus on cost reduction and minimizing accessorial costs through efficient process changes and planning.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify and predict deviations from processes, and make procedural changes to improve efficiency or correct inefficiencies within the logistics systems.
  • Work closely with transloading warehouses on capacity planning, KPI management, and bottleneck management.
  • Lead the development of logistics business plans with the US logistics team, HQ, and 3PL service providers.
  • Manage volume in and out of the transloading center, planning resources based on production, inbound, and outbound requirements.

Remarks (Preferred):

  • Experience with Laredo logistics operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in managing logistics operations in a border-crossing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including transloading warehouses and 3PL service providers.
