The Maintenance Engineer operates, repairs, and maintains the physical plant as well as other hospital equipment/systems in a safe cost effective and industry accepted manner. Also, this position assures a safe and reliable environment in which to provide medical services.

Work Schedule: 1.0 FTE Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm. On call 10pm-530am Monday-Friday Every 4th week

Required Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent

QUALIFYING LICENSURE UPON HIRE, NO CONTINGENCIES

  • Must have any ONE of the following at HIRE:
  • Chief A
  • Chief B
  • 1st Class A
  • 1st Class B
  • 2nd Class A
  • 2nd Class B

IF ABOVE LICENSURE(S) NOT PRESENT AT HIRE

  • Must have any ONE of the following at HIRE:
  • Chief C upon hire
  • 1st Class C upon hire
  • 2nd Class C upon hire
  • Special Engineers license
  • Must obtain completion within 18 months of hire date:
  • 2nd Class B license
  • Must have a valid driver's license in the state of employee residence and meet all criteria required under Lakeview's Automobile Liability Guidelines
  • Basic computer and email skills
  • Good customer service, troubleshooting, and mechanical aptitude skills, and able to change or reprioritize in a fast pace environment to meet our patients/building needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical school training in plant operations/building maintenance and/or HVAC
  • 1-year experience in the operation of H.V.A.C., refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems, preferably in a health care setting
