Interventional Radiology Technologist - CVOR

Position Overview:

Seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. In this role you will work under the supervision of the Service Line Manager and Lead Technologist to assist the Radiologist and Neurointerventionalist with diagnostic angiography, interventional and neuro interventional procedures performed for the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform all diagnostic, interventional, and neuro-interventional procedures.
  • Assist physician with diagnostic angiographic procedures, as well as complex vascular and nonvascular interventional, therapeutic, and neuro interventional procedures while maintaining a sterile field.
  • Prepare and position patient prior to procedure and remains at bedside throughout the procedure.
  • Report changes in the patient’s condition to appropriate personnel for follow-up.
  • Provide education to patient and family regarding procedure. Transports patients as needed.
  • Administer contrast media per established medication review protocols.
  • Document procedural related information, perform radiographic image post-processing, and input procedural charges.
  • Perform related duties such as cleaning work area, replenishing supplies, assisting others, and reporting equipment malfunctions.
  • May perform moderate or waived point of care testing per CLIA guidelines.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Radiology Tech-Registered credentials
  • An Associate Degree
  • 1-2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology technologist preferred
  • Demonstration of standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence
  • Possess commensurate combination of education, experience and qualifications.
