Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide SME (Subject Matter Expert) level support and guidance to 1st and 2nd tier Linux administrators.
  • Maintain and operate Red Hat OpenStack infrastructure, as well as Ceph storage infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain Ansible automations.
  • Advise on and perform security hardening of systems using DISA STIGs and other best practice security guidelines.
Required Skills:
  • 10+ years of professional experience in building, deploying, and troubleshooting Linux-based IT systems.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience working with Ansible for deploying, maintaining, and updating systems.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience administering OpenStack.
Desired Skills:
  • RHCSA or RHCE certification.
  • Experience with a scripting language (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate and solve recurring tasks.
  • Comfortable working with mission-critical and sensitive systems, with a sense of urgency appropriate to the responsibilities.
  • Ability to address and resolve information technology issues promptly, effectively, and independently.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with hardware tasks (e.g., racking, troubleshooting, swapping components).
