Senior Maintenance Supervisor

WinnCompanies is seeking a working Senior Maintenance Supervisor, who will train, coach and develop a team across three communities in Brookline, MA.
In this role, you will oversee the maintenance operations of multiple properties totaling 314 affordable units, perform maintenance functions as a working supervisor and manager Maintenance Supervisors at the properties. Additionally, you will ensure that the physical condition of the property satisfies ownership and management objectives.
Please note that this opportunity offers a typical work schedule: Monday through Friday, from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a maintenance staff at the properties on a day-to-day basis and act as a working Supervisor when not supervising staff. Assists in hiring, developing, training and holding staff accountable to operating standards. Conduct and participate in weekly staff meetings. Assist the Property Managers in controlling maintenance expenses.
- Responsible for preparing work schedules for maintenance staff and vendors to complete service requests, maintain the preventive maintenance program and overall curb appeal.
- Complete monthly building inspections and review third party property inspections to resolve maintenance repairs.
- Maintain working knowledge of all maintenance programs and capital improvement projects. Solicit bids from contractors with approval from the Property Manager and Regional Maintenance Manager.
- Participate in on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 5 - 8 years of relevant work experience.
- 5 - 8 years of supervisory experience.
- General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliance, and HVAC.
- Must have successfully completed both NSPIRE and REAC inspections.
- EPA Universal certification.
- Experience with computer systems, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personalities.
- Ability to schedule work orders.
- CAMT certification.
- Vocational or Technical training
$40.06 - $40.06 an hour
