  • UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 502 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Responsibilities
  • Complete physician orders by retrieving orders and completing the necessary steps associated with processing to ensure quality patient outcomes.
  • Assist with inventory control of pharmaceuticals and supplies by replenishing supplies, documenting items to be ordered, and rotating stock to maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Assist in the maintenance of orderliness and cleanliness of the department.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Texas Registration through the Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Intern.
  • Ability to calculate and compound medication orders

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Intravenous Admixture Certification Course through an approved ACPE provider
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Previous pharmacy experience
