Quality Control Inspector Job Description The primary responsibility of the Quality Control Inspector is to ensure that products meet the established quality standards before they are released to customers. The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products throughout various stages of production to identify defects, deviations from specifications, and areas for improvement. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards are crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and the overall success of the company. Responsibilities Inspect, test, and evaluate products to ensure they meet quality standards. Identify defects and deviations from specifications. Prepare reports summarizing inspection findings and provide feedback to production teams. Assist in the development of inspection criteria and work instructions. Participate in MRB (Material Review Board) activities. Collaborate with other departments to develop and update quality standards as needed. Identify and communicate any quality issues to relevant personnel. Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve quality concerns promptly. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address root causes of quality issues. Stay informed about changes in quality control regulations and update procedures accordingly. Essential Skills Knowledge of standard operating procedures (SOPs) Experience with Work Instructions Proficiency in root cause analysis Experience with internal audits Quality control and inspection skills Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to prepare detailed reports Excellent communication skills Strong attention to detail Experience in quality check processes Work Environment Working conditions are in a normal office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, and stand, using the hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally, the employee must crouch or kneel. The employee must occasionally exert or lift up to 20 pounds. Successful performance requires good eyesight with or without corrective lenses.
