Compensation

Salary Range: $22.28 - $ 33.58 / hour

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

To provide safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care services under the supervision and direction of a licensed
physician and nurse in performing various duties in the Clinic setting. The Medical Assistant will perform the
routine tasks needed to care for patients within the Centers for Family Health.

Qualifications

Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from a medical assistant training program
  • Currently certified as a Medical Assistant by a recognized certifying organization or eligible to sit for exam within 30 days of hire. Acceptable certifications are CMA, CCMA, NCMA, RMT, AAMA ABROE.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Bilingual in Spanish
