Do you have an eye for detail and enjoy navigating the complexities of regulatory frameworks, financial regulations, and industry standards? If you're excited about helping organizations stay compliant while driving efficiency and minimizing risk, our client has an incredible opportunity for you. We're looking for a Compliance Analyst (aka The Regulatory Navigator) to manage compliance efforts, identify potential risks, and ensure adherence to evolving regulations across sectors like finance, technology, healthcare, and beyond.

As a Compliance Analyst at our client, you will collaborate with legal, risk management, and operational teams to maintain the organization's integrity in all business processes. You'll evaluate current compliance practices, design and implement procedures, and support the company in navigating regulatory landscapes with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and Assess Regulatory Compliance:
  • Monitor regulatory frameworks relevant to the company's operations, such as GDPR, AML/KYC, PCI-DSS, or industry-specific standards. You'll ensure that business practices are in compliance with local, national, and international laws, preventing legal risks.
Conduct Risk Assessments:
  • Evaluate company processes, identifying potential compliance risks and areas for improvement. You'll perform regular compliance audits to ensure policies and procedures are aligned with current regulations and standards.
Collaborate on Compliance Policies and Procedures:
  • Work closely with legal, risk management, and operational teams to develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures. You'll ensure these practices are effectively implemented and communicated across the organization.
Stay Up-to-Date with Regulatory Changes:
  • Keep abreast of changes in regulations and industry standards, advising management on potential impacts. You'll help the company adapt to new regulations, updating policies and procedures to ensure continued compliance.
Support Compliance Training and Education:
  • Assist in developing and delivering compliance training programs to employees, ensuring that all staff are aware of their responsibilities. You'll promote a culture of compliance within the organization and address any areas of concern.
Investigate Compliance Issues:
  • Conduct investigations into potential compliance violations or concerns, documenting findings, and proposing corrective actions. You'll work to resolve any compliance breaches in coordination with legal and operational teams.
Prepare Compliance Reports and Documentation:
  • Generate regular compliance reports for management and regulatory bodies, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of the company's compliance activities. You'll maintain documentation to demonstrate compliance during audits or inspections.
Requirements

Required Skills:
  • Regulatory Compliance Expertise: Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, AML/KYC, SOX, PCI-DSS, and other industry-specific standards. You understand the legal and regulatory requirements that apply to different sectors.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Experience conducting risk assessments and identifying compliance gaps. You're skilled at recommending and implementing corrective actions to minimize risks and ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Policy Development and Implementation: Proficiency in developing compliance policies and procedures. You can work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance policies are adopted, communicated, and followed throughout the organization.
  • Investigation and Auditing: Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough compliance investigations and audits. You're experienced in resolving compliance issues and preparing for external audits or inspections.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex compliance concepts to non-technical and non-legal stakeholders. You can work collaboratively with legal, operations, and business teams to ensure compliance across the organization.
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Equivalent experience in compliance management is highly valued.
  • Certifications such as Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), or similar are a plus.
Experience Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, with hands-on experience in a relevant industry such as finance, healthcare, or technology.
