Position Summary Directs daily workflow of the MRI department and assists the Imaging Services Supervisor, Imaging Services Manager and/or Imaging Services Director. Responsibilities Essential Functions Adheres to Orlando Health mission statement and strategic imperatives. Directs and assistswith daily workflow ofthe Imaging team to include patientflow,supply ordering,staff assignments, and resolution of customer service issues. Plans and prioritizes exam scheduling, and processing thatsupport the needs ofthe patients and physicians. Ensures images meet the established Quality Control standards. Provides input to supervisor for evaluations/coaching plans. Actively participates in departmental projects and process improvement initiatives. Administers medical aid as required in cases of adverse reactions to contrast medication and/or other emergencies. Performs diagnostic imaging and related procedures as outlined in the technologist job description. Complies with all state and federal regulations applicable to the modality with responsibility for MRI safety. Demonstrates proficiency in contrast medication administration with and without use of power injectors. Performs venipuncture and evaluates IV access for contrast administration as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. Applies principles of MRIsafety to patients,self, and others. Ensuresthe safety of all customers. Maintainsreasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies, procedures, department guidelines, and education requirements. Other Related Functions Maintains cleanliness of work area and ensures work areas are organized. Maintains a cooperative work environment in the department and reports noncompliance to supervisor/manager. Utilizes all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately. Reports equipment issues to appropriate personnel. Provides patient transport. Works at any facility as required by operational needs or organizational demands. Qualifications Education/Training Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Licensure/Certification Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
