Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver emergency nursing care as needed
  • Assist with patient care and monitoring
  • Change and dress wounds with skill and precision

Qualifications:

No prior medical experience is necessary, as we offer comprehensive training for all military occupational specialties. However, candidates who have completed a state-approved course in practical or vocational nursing, passed the NCLEX-PN, and possess a current and unrestricted nursing license may qualify for exemptions from certain training requirements.

Training Overview:

You will receive 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training followed by 52 weeks of Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, where you will learn:

  • Effective patient care techniques
  • Collaboration within a medical team
  • Emergency care protocols

Locations:

Part-time opportunities are available in the U.S. Army Reserve, including at Fort Snelling, Minnesota, as well as various locations across the country. Full-time roles are located at U.S. Army Installations nationwide and internationally.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be under 35 years old
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (I-551 Green Card holder)
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • No significant medical or mental health issues
  • No major legal violations including felony convictions
