DME Dispatcher

Title: DME Dispatcher
Location: Venice, Fl.
Pay: $19.50
Shift: Tuesday - Saturday 8:30am-5pm
Type: Contract to hire

SUMMARY:
The DME dispatcher manages orders for durable medical equipment (DME) and dispatches drivers for delivery, service, and pickup up of equipment. The dispatcher communicates with the patient, caregiver and members of the interdisciplinary team (IDT) to keep them informed and resolve problems as they arise. The incumbent will demonstrate leadership by fostering staff development, facilitating teamwork and supporting the delivery of exceptional patient care to meet the organization s vision, mission and goals.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • AHCA Clearance required.
  • Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
  • Working knowledge of area streets
  • Must be able to set priorities, assist Driver/Techs in routing of daily deliveries, time stops, etc.
  • Minimum 4 years DME experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to think quickly and remain composed in a busy office environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (MS Outlook, Word, Excel)
