The ICD Process Technologies group is the center of excellence for Aquatech's Evaporation and Crystallization Technology, located in Hartland, Wisconsin, USA. Our team develops processes that use evaporation and crystallization technology to meet the world's need for innovative solutions. We serve industries such as lithium and critical minerals production, EV battery manufacturing and mineral recycling, carbon capture, energy, and many more.

Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Senior Applications Engineer to work in our Hartland, WI office location. The hours of this position are Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Qualifications / Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering degree or related field equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with evaporation and crystallization technology
Job Descriptions:
  • Engage with clients to understand and define their key process performance needs
  • Develop creative process designs incorporating evaporation and crystallization technology
  • Author technical proposals that clearly communicate value propositions and accurately define process performance
  • Prepare cost estimates for the proposed equipment scope
  • Participate in client meetings with the sales team as a technical expert
  • Create and deliver technical content to support business development initiatives
  • Participate in pilot testing programs for process validation
  • Complete engineering activities including heat & material balances, process flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams, equipment sizing calculations, dimensional designs for pressure vessels and heat exchangers, and plant equipment layout
  • Collaborate with engineering teams during project execution, procurement, and start-up
  • Provide leadership to engineers on the application engineering team
  • Review process design work and cost estimates produced by engineers
Skill Requirements:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude
  • Possess strong mechanical aptitude

Physical Job Demands:
