Triumph Construction is currently seeking a talented and dedicated Junior Estimator to join our team. As a Junior Estimator, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, gaining valuable experience in estimating and project management.

In this role, you will assist our senior estimators in gathering project details, analyzing construction plans and specifications, and preparing accurate cost estimates for new and ongoing projects. You will also be responsible for maintaining vendor and subcontractor relationships, tracking project costs, and assisting in the preparation of bid proposals and project budgets. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, highly motivated, and eager to learn and grow in their career.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

·         Participate in preparing work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.

·         Interface daily with senior management to build estimates and seek new bid opportunities.

·         Complete estimates on time and complete in form for final review.

·         Ability to follow all project specifications and standards to secure estimate accuracy.

·         Ability to interface with all vendors and negotiate the best price outcome for the estimate and out proposal.

·         Attending any required site visits and meetings needed prior to bid submission.

·         Attending all management meetings to meet productivity.

·         Assist in meeting the goals of bid cost vs actual job cost and work with the team to meet job margins.

·         Maintain the estimating computer system and paper backup system for management to review.

·         Verify that vendor and subcontractor estimates fall within the defined scope.

·         Create estimates for all necessary insurance considerations.

Required requirements and qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

·         Minimum 1 or 2 years of experience

·         Familiarity with construction practices, costs, and procedures.

·         Experience with vendor management, procurement, and construction management.

·         Ability to work with B2W, HCSS, Excel and Microsoft Project

·         Knowledge in both private sector and NYC municipalities.

·         Experienced in DOT, MTA, DDC and Heavy Civil Construction
