Full Stack Developer

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Digital Transformation team in Kennesaw, GA. The Sr Full-Stack Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable web applications. They will play a pivotal part in enhancing customer-facing features using React and maintaining high-quality code standards while ensuring performance, security, and maintainability.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop and Implement Features: Utilize React and Node.js to create user-centric web and mobile application features from designs and wireframes. Develop microservices and ensure seamless API integration.
- Architecting for Non-Functional Requirements: Ensure that non-functional requirements such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability are being considered when architecting solutions and keep apprised of new and emerging features.
- Lead and Prioritize Application Improvements: Conduct proactive analysis of current and future states for high-impact enhancements and innovations.
- Project Delivery: Drive full project lifecycle including discovery, design, and post-go-live support, facilitating User Acceptance Testing.
- Code Review and Quality Improvement: Conduct peer reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices.
- Support and Maintenance: Provide support for existing applications, implementing enhancements, and resolving issues as required.
- Autonomy in application architecture design and the ability to suggest and implement improvements in code and practices.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience:
- IT Industry Experience: 6-8+ years of experience building highly scalable, high performance, responsive web applications.
- Web Application Development: 4-5+ years developing responsive, scalable web applications using React and Node.js
- Microservices and API Development: Experience with building and integrating APIs, with a strong understanding of Node.js microservices
- Mobile Application Development: Experience releasing at least 2 native mobile applications to the app stores, ideally utilizing React Native or similar frameworks (e.g., Flutter, Swift, Kotlin).
- Technical Skills:
- Core Competencies: React, JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js, HTML, CSS.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Bitbucket pipelines.
- Testing & Debugging: Jest, Enzyme, type checking (TypeScript/PropTypes).
- State Management: Experience with Redux.
- Cloud Services: AWS for hosting and services, experience with deployment in cloud environments.
- Tools & Collaboration: Familiarity with Postman, messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ), Brandfolder (DAM), and agile methodologies.
- CMS and E-commerce: Experience with Optimizely CMS and Oracle Commerce Cloud preferred
- Preferred:
- E-commerce Integration experience.
- Experience in an agency environment is a major plus.
- Familiarity with React Native or other mobile frameworks.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a small, cross-functional team
