Position Summary:
Business Analyst - Time, Payroll, and HCM

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in timekeeping systems, payroll processing, and Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions. The ideal candidate will serve as a critical liaison between stakeholders, end-users, and technical teams, ensuring that business requirements are captured, documented, and translated into effective system solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of HCM platforms, payroll compliance, and time management processes to drive efficient operations and enhance organizational productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document business requirements related to timekeeping, payroll, and HCM processes.
  • nalyze current systems and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and recommending innovative solutions.
  • Partner with HR, payroll, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of HCM modules, including time and attendance systems.
  • ct as a subject matter expert (SME) for payroll and HCM processes, staying updated on compliance regulations and industry best practices.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for developers and third-party vendors.
  • ssist in configuring, testing, and deploying new features or updates within time, payroll, and HCM systems.
  • Provide end-user training and create detailed documentation, including process flows, user guides, and system functionality descriptions.
  • Support the resolution of system issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Facilitate change management processes to ensure smooth adoption of new systems or processes.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to timekeeping, payroll, and HCM metrics.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with specific expertise in timekeeping systems, payroll processing, and HCM platforms.
  • Familiarity with leading HCM solutions such as Workday, ADP, Kronos, or Oracle HCM.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, time and attendance policies, and HR compliance standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex business needs.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies, including creating use cases, workflows, and process diagrams.
  • Hands-on experience with system testing, including UAT, regression testing, and performance testing.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results on time.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP or PMI-PBA).
  • Experience with data migration, system implementation, or upgrades in an HCM/payroll environment.
  • Familiarity with integrations between HCM systems and payroll or timekeeping applications.
