As a Resident Income Coordinator, you will carry out our Mission of Love by billing and collecting resident income for fraternal care and Medical Assistance residents and maintain resident income files for locations as assigned.

Our Resident Income Coordinator is responsible for the following:
  • Knowledge of Medical Assistance regulations, generally accepted accounting principles, regulations governing resident personal care accounts, and other governmental or industry regulations applicable to Masonic Villages' operations, as appropriate.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate on issues affecting position's responsibilities. Communication may include identification and documentation of issues, gathering of information, and development of an action plan. Communication may include written reports or schedules, and oral presentations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business systems/software and controls for the resident service revenue activities of Masonic Villages.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize systems as needed to meet operational needs, regulatory requirements and maintain sufficient controls to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Send bills for resident income and perform necessary collection efforts in accordance with Masonic Village Collection's policy.
  • Set up income and deduction information into billing system including outside medical expenses paid by Masonic Village, or deductions taken by families who manage income for Medical Assistance residents.
  • Add information to billing system for Medicaid approvals and changes.
  • Prepare necessary adjustments related to resident income.
  • Work with team members to ensure adjusted billing is processed as appropriate.
  • Review and record distributions of excess income for deceased residents on a timely basis.
  • Post interest and close resident Trust Fund accounts after all resident income has been posted for the month.
  • Prepare and submit direct deposit applications and cancel direct deposit for deceased or discharged residents.
  • Prepare and maintain files for review by UMR auditors including PA 162's, MA313's and backup for deductions taken.
  • Apply for Representative Payee after admission and complete annual representative payee reports once approved.
  • Participate in annual UMR audit.
What You Have:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Associate degree in Accounting preferred or minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
  • Computer experience required. PC experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel or other spreadsheet software required.
  • Proficiency in writing & typing professional correspondence and a calculator required.
  • Two years' experience in billing (Accounts Receivable) and collections.
  • Familiarity with Social Security, pension incomes, Medical Assistance billing and PROMISE billing system.
