As a host/hostess, it is your job to make each and every guest feel comfortable and welcome as soon as they walk in the door. Your greeting is the guest's first impression of the restaurant and your good-bye is equally important as the final impression of the dining experience. As a host/hostess you will seat parties, direct guest traffic and give information. By controlling the flow of guests into the restaurant, you help determine the success of each and every shift.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Warmly greet all guests upon their arrival.
  • When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant.
  • Inspect tables for proper presentation.
  • When the restaurant is on a wait for tables, record the guest's information in the NoWait App and provide guest with an estimated wait time.
  • Notify guest via the No Wait App when their table is ready.
  • Accommodate special seating requests whenever possible.
  • Make friendly conversation with guest as you walk them to their table.
  • Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of server's name.
  • Handle food: chips and salsa
  • Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
  • Attend all scheduled team member meetings

  • Previous restaurant experience not required, but preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information to guests and other team members.
  • Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
