The Quality department is looking for a Quality Lab Intern to join their team in Le Sueur, MN

Position Summary:

The intern will work closely with the Quality team on project-based tasks, focusing on improving product quality, optimizing lab procedures, and addressing quality issues. Responsibilities include analyzing quality data, developing control strategies, assisting with internal audits, and evaluating testing methods. The intern will collaborate with other departments, uphold safety and compliance standards, and present findings to leadership at the end of the summer. This hands-on role provides valuable experience in quality assurance and project management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Complete and present a capstone project related to department business needs. This will include research, analysis, and presenting the overall findings and suggestions to peers and Cambria Leaders.
  • Contribute to ongoing projects aimed at improving product quality, optimizing lab procedures, or investigating quality issues
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends, outliers, and opportunities to improve efficiency and quality
  • Identify, develop, and implement control strategies
  • Maintain a priority for safety and engage in initiatives within area of ownership
  • Assist in internal audits, ensuring compliance with quality standards and industry regulations
  • Analyze current lab workflows and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize errors
  • Evaluate the performance of new or modified testing methods to ensure accuracy, precision, and reliability
  • Work with other departments (process technology, research and development) to address quality-related issues and implement solutions
  • Perform job duties safely as outlined in the Quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Collect and present findings to leadership groups at the end of the summer

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
Minimum Requirements:

Education: Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor's program in Science, Engineering, or a related program. Expected graduation date of 2025, 2026, and 2027.

Experience: Some experience in a related field preferred

Systems: Google Suite

Task-Based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

Additional Requirements:

Managerial Responsibilities: No

Travel Requirements: Limited travel locally (Eden Prairie, Le Sueur, and Belle Plaine)

Physical Requirements:
  • Lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Stand on feet for extended periods of time
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria
  • Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises
  • Occasionally work in wet and/or humid conditions
  • Bend over multiple times throughout shift


Program Dates: May 19, 2025 - August 8, 2025; M-F; 40 hour work week
