Job Title: Senior Benefits Specialist Job Description The Contract Senior Benefits Specialist will support the Total Rewards Analysts. This key role within the Human Resources department is responsible for the administration of health and welfare benefits across the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada. The position requires knowledge of industry standards and compliance with federal and state regulations. The Senior Benefits Specialist will work closely with internal HR partners, finance, and legal teams to administer benefits programs that align with company goals and enhance employee satisfaction. This is a hybrid opportunity in Tampa, FL. Responsibilities Partner with Total Reward Analysts and Benefit Analysts to understand processes and compliance. Serve as the point of contact for Tier 1 Benefit Specialist inquiries. Provide excellent customer service and respond to Tier 2 Benefit Analyst tickets/cases. Partner with internal departments to ensure accurate benefit data/deductions. Respond to vendor and carrier inquiries. Monitor and coordinate Knowledge Base Article updates. Process invoices and work with vendors and internal departments to answer inquiries and resolve escalations. Assist with all facets of annual enrollment and year-end processes, including the 1095 process. Run and provide reports and perform audits as needed. Assist with compiling data for survey completion. Provide additional support as needed. Essential Skills Advanced analytical skills. Deep understanding of benefits regulations. Ability to communicate complex information clearly. 5+ years of benefits administration experience. 2+ years of senior benefits administration experience. Experience managing third-party vendors. Subject Matter Expert level knowledge of benefit plans, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ERISA. Additional Skills & Qualifications Working knowledge of FMLA, 401k, Medicare, etc. preferred. Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Workday. Experience with various benefit administration systems. Strong analytical and project management skills with attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment. Highly collaborative with the ability to use independent judgment, prioritize multiple projects, and adapt to change while meeting deadlines. Professional certification preferred (PHR, SHRM-CP, CEBS). Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
