Overview

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for ensuring the timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services necessary for smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, a keen understanding of supply chain processes, and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships while achieving cost and quality targets.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and engage with suppliers to secure high-quality materials and services at competitive prices.
  • Create, process, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and alignment with business needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, resolving disputes and ensuring performance metrics are met.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to achieve cost-saving goals without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with inventory and production teams to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor market trends, prices, and supply risks to anticipate and mitigate potential challenges.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 2-5 years of experience in procurement, or a related supply chain role.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Solid understanding of supply chain principles and cost management.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, hair follicle, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
