Description

We're seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Assistant / COA to continue the growth of our Emory Clinics. As part of our team you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and independent decision-making. This position reports to the Supervisor of Ophthalmic skills. You will be required to perform the following duties; obtaining and documenting patient history, determiniing visual acuity, performing automated and manual refraction for diagnostic purposes, performing basic lensometry, pupillary assessment, visual field testing, PAM, basin ocular motility assessment, manual and automated keratometry, osmolarity testing, administering eye drops, ointment, and irrigating solutions to eyes as ordered by the physician.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of a High School diploma or general education degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in an Ophthalmology practice.
  • JCAHPO Ophthalmic Certification (COA) required or must be obtained within one (1) year of hire date).
  • BLS Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
