LPN Substitute

The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a reliable and compassionate Substitute Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care and support to students. The Substitute LPN will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy school environment by addressing students' health needs, assisting with medical emergencies, and ensuring that health protocols are followed.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage chronic health conditions, including asthma, diabetes, allergies, and others.
• Provide first aid and emergency care as needed.
• Maintain accurate health records, including daily logs of student visits and treatments.
• Communicate with parents, teachers, and administrators about students' health concerns and needs.
• Assist in implementing and promoting health and wellness initiatives within the school.
• Follow district policies and protocols related to health and safety.

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New York State.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Previous experience working with children in a healthcare or educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with students, staff, and parents.
• Ability to handle medical emergencies and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to district policies and health regulations.
