Job Title: Assembly Operator

Job Description

Candidates will be assembling the actual railroad switches. This role involves using a variety of tools and techniques to ensure the proper assembly of components.

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools

• Grind and deburr components

• Lift up to 65+ pounds

• Perform light welding tasks

• Complete other tasks required in the assembly process

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude

• Experience with hand and power tools

• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 65+ pounds)

• Basic welding skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined

• Experience with grinding and deburring

• No specific certifications required

• No specific medical requirements

• No personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements

Work Environment

The facility is very dirty and somewhat disorganized. The doors are wide open, making it very hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The environment is also very loud.
