Vivo HealthStaff is actively recruiting an Endocrinology Physicain. The candidate will deliver comprehensive healthcare and perform specific medical services under the supervision of their Supervising Physician and Chief Medical Officer.

Position: Endocrinology Healthcare Provider

Reporting to: Supervising Physician and Chief Medical Officer

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Conduct thorough health history assessments and physical examinations. Develop, communicate, and implement a diagnostic and management plan tailored to each patient's condition.
  • Medication Management: Prescribe and renew medications, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including the management of controlled substances.
  • Documentation: Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all patient interactions, prescriptions, and procedures in the NextGen electronic health record, or as mandated by the company.
  • Team Collaboration: Engage as an active member of the Medical Group and clinical team, providing coverage, collaborating with specialists, and working with case management to enhance health outcomes.
  • Procedures: Perform relevant procedures in various settings (clinic, inpatient, outpatient) in alignment with your training and experience.
  • Referrals: Facilitate referrals to specialty care and services as needed.
  • Diagnostic Report Management: Review, sign, date, and follow up on diagnostic reports (e.g., laboratory, radiology, EKG) in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Outreach and Education: Participate in marketing outreach and engage in staff and patient education programs as directed by medical group leadership.
  • Quality Assurance: Engage in peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and other clinical meetings as required or requested.
  • Protocol Management: Assist in updating protocols and principles of practice as requested.
  • Resource Management: Manage patients to optimize health outcomes and minimize inappropriate resource utilization.
  • Patient Communication: Respond to patient inquiries, both telephonically and electronically via the electronic patient portal, promptly.
  • Supervision: Oversee Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners as assigned and when necessary.
  • Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as directed by management.

Educational and Professional Experience:
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine with a fellowship in Endocrinology
  • Active medical license in California.
  • Current DEA License.
  • Additional credentials as required by specialty.
