Position Overview for Respiratory Therapist:

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering top-notch nursing care to our residents. Your responsibilities will include providing treatment to patients who may benefit from the diagnostic and therapeutic procedures performed in accordance with the orders of a physician.

To delineate the Respiratory modalities and therapy that is available and provided at the center. Respiratory Care is a life-supporting, life-enhancing healthcare profession practiced under qualified medical direction to patients with disorders of the cardiopulmonary system. Respiratory care services encompass activities in diagnostic evaluation, therapy, and education of the patient, family and public.

Qualifications for Respiratory Therapist:
  • Respiratory Therapist certified or registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care with a current state license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Home LTC (preferred).
Responsibilities for Respiratory Therapist:
  • Document all procedures performed.
  • The therapist will abide by all facility guidelines; maintain records, as required by facility administration.
  • To support life within the guidelines of the patient's advanced directives.
  • To provide respiratory care services to assist individuals to maintain or improve functional ability.
  • To provide timely, quality services as determined by the patient's needs and availability of resources, under medical supervision.
Salary/ Wage Range

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
