We are currently looking for a Full-Time Delivery Assistant in our Transportation Department The Delivery Assistant is responsible for assisting the Route Delivery Driver in every aspect of product delivery to customer restaurants. The Delivery Assistant will contribute to excellent customer service through their attention to detail while following all company procedures and best practices in a safe and efficient manner.

Schedule: May include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts. Schedules are determined by business needs and require flexibility within the first few months.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
  • Unload products at customer locations and place in appropriate temperature zones.
  • Rotate freezer and cooler products by date (First In/First Out) and place products in the correct locations.
  • Take photos of product in the freezer and cooler on arrival in before rotating. Take photos of and upon completion of each delivery.
  • Proper use of delivery equipment such as ramps, straps, hand truck, roller, etc.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Warehouse experience is preferred
  • Have strong communication skills with ability to communicate with management team, drivers, helpers, and customers
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee is required as needed to wheel product down trailer ramp and must frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, bend, stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, carry, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and use hands and fingers to grasp and feel. The employee may be required to work with hands and arms extended overhead. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to work varying hours as needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The Delivery Assistant will be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions caused by the weather while working outdoors unloading trailer and is often exposed to very cold temperatures (-0 to -4F) while working in the restaurant cooler and freezer.
