As a Nurse, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
- Care for patients with a variety of illnesses, injuries and diseases in facilities such as clinics, medical offices, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals and schools
- Provides legible, clear written, or electronic documentation of all patient care provided, medications administered, and the patient's response to care
- Establishes effective relationships with patients, physicians, families/visitors, coworkers, and superiors.
A few must-haves for Licensed Practical Nurses:
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program and active Nursing license
- Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation
- Current clearances required for job assignment
- Knowledge of state and federal health regulations
- Clinical proficiency in nursing, strong communication skills and compassion
